There's a song from Scrubs that doesn't appear to be here and it's driving me crazy! In one of the first couple of seasons, there was a show where the characters were each singing the same song. The song was about saying the wrong things. I think some of the words were "these words come out wrong" (but I know that isn't it since I've done several internet searches for those words to no avail). I seem to recall it was an 80's song.

Thinking it with "A Little Respect," I looked at the lyrics and that's not it.

Anyone know which show I'm talking about? Anyone know the song?

I figured it out! It's "The Promise" by "When In Rome."

Hey I love your site. I am a big Scrubs fan. I like the music from the show also. Another great show that had awesome soundtracks, but not available on cd was Ed.

Any Ed lists?

Free Song or a 50ยข Slurpee - You Decide

Either way you look at it, it's a deal. Apple and 7-11 have teamed up for the newest iTunes Music Store promotion. A free song, with over 8 million songs to give away. Odds of getting a code? One on every specially marked cup! That's right, you buy it you win. Unless you have a great memory - the number is printed right there on the cup. But how fast could you memorize 9ATTMWEER6RE? Don't bother, I already used it. And yes, I bought it. All Coke with a little cherry shot down the middle! Excellent. Also, head to the Slurpee site for a chance to win more tunes or a Mini Cooper. They're giving away 4200 instant wins of 15 song downloads just for logging in at the right time. If you feel confused, yes the site itself is a big flash based self revealing scratch-off instant ticket. When you sign in if you are the first person to sign in at or after one of the randomly chosen times, you win. See the site for official details.

And this iTunes promo is partially sponsored by the Coca-Cola Company... which runs a competing music site at www.mycokemusic.com. Okay, who's competing.

The way they put the codes on the cups makes me a wonder just a little. Not that I could memorize it. But, I'll bet there's going to be at least one person caught stealing a stack of cups or pulling out the camera phone...

Who's Missing From iTunes?

An incomplete, short list of missing artists on iTunes.

Missing:
AC/DC
Bob Seger
Led Zeppelin
Linkin Park
Radiohead
Tool

In any real quantity:
Aerosmith
Dave Matthews Band

Not Expected:
The Beatles - with the lawsuit...
Metallica - Well you know - Napster and all...

Send me more if you got 'em. Oh yeah, and if you know who's choice it is, a press release stating why, or just the reason why a band isn't on iTunes, let me know.

iTunes has lots of hot artists, but I thing it would be cool if they had the Now That's What I Call Music! albums. You know, the albums that have the popular artists in them. It's a good way to know who's popular. They had 6 songs from the albums, all as singles, but I think they should have more. Since iTunes is all about the top 10 & to 100 song lists they should have all the albums. The "full" albums, not just "singles". You can check out all the albums by logging on to:
http://www.nowthatsmusic.com/
Enjoy!

They need more Drake Bell. iTunes has 1 album: the Drake & Josh Soundtrack, but that's only a few songs. They should have more Drake Bell albums. I'm obsessed with the song "I Found a Way"!

At 7/17/2005 4:34 PM, Anonymous said...

Also, like I mentioned the Now That's What I Call Music! series, they should also have the Totally Hits albums. They also have popular artists.

iTunes should have more complete soundtrack albums. Like, the other day I was searching on amazon.com and I saw the Fat Albert and the Garfield the Movie Soundtracks. I saw some great songs from the albums that I really liked, but when I looked on iTunes I only found 1 song as a single on each album.

Ok, I know iTunes has some Final Fantasy soundtracks, but where's the soundtrack from Final Fantasy Tactics Advance? I love the music from that game and when I search I find other Final Fantasy soundtracks that I don't even have the games of.

Coldplay Pre-Order Exclusives

It appears the iTMS has made yet another deal to separate themselves from their competition. The latest album from Coldplay can now be Pre-Ordered. If you're like me or many of the others I saw posting in forums while the link wasn't working in the iTMS - you're wondering what good is a pre-order with digital music? Are they going to run out of stock? Of course not. Is there a limited release? Not at all. The banner ad gives no clue to the true purpose - the exclusive. In this case, it's two exclusive bonus tracks "Proof" and "Things I Don't Understand". A good move for original content to set the iTMS apart from Napster, Rhapsody and now the Yahoo! Music subscription services.

I also wonder, how many people never clicked that banner to realize there were two exclusive songs? Why didn't Apple advertise - "two exclusive pre-order only songs?" Reading the forums - I know I wasn't the only one who missed this. Have a friend who likes Coldplay? Email them this link and let them know.

iPod your DeLorean

iPod your DeLoreanThis is my 80's mix. It's currently set at 100 songs but there are many more I can add. And yes, for some reason I have this aural notion of what tunes I would like driving around in a DeLorean.

I gave myself a few guidelines for this mix. I refuse to list the covers of the popular 80's version of these songs. There are many of the original artists and songs missing from iTunes. I plan to keep the list, in my opinion, limited; but I'll go above 100 if every song deserves it.

I plan to refine this iMix as I scour iTunes for great hidden 80's treasures. So if you think I missed a major player, let me know.

Prisoners of Commerce

Prisoners of CommerceIs the title harsh? Yeah. Some "Album Onlys" can be legit. For example, bonus tracks on a cd, I can accept. An acoustic version of a studio song, that'll fly too. But, American Pie? Why? Because you know we want it? Oh wait! What's that? I can get the Brady Bunch version!

Songs like these are hostages of the greater cd which would rarely sell without the single hit. Green Day excluded. I bought the CD and it was the best cd in a long time.

However, I'm holding off on Daniel and Video Killed the Radio Star which both sound like great covers. Can we free the prisoners of Commerce? Spread the word of freedom to your iTunes using friends.

Will I at times meet their demands? Of course, it's music not politics.

My personal favorite:
Korn: Another Brick in the Wall, Pts 1, 2 & 3 - A Pink Floyd cover I truly enjoy.

Let me know of any more great commercial hostages...

3 Comments:

At 4/29/2005 9:55 PM, Anonymous said...

These aren't hostages, but they aren't available on iTunes, and I can't figure out why: Katrina & the Waves--"Walkin' on Sunshine"; nearly everything by Michelle Shocked, namely "V.F.D.", "We Belong" by Pat Benatar, and "Picture Book" by the Kinks. Why are some of these available at Walmart.com but not at iTunes? Shameless commerce! Stupid monopolies!

At 5/11/2005 12:22 AM, Palmer Deville said...

agree. That's another issue I have entirely. Have you taken the time just to look through the foreign iTunes music stores? There are songs there that we can't even get here and Apples already struck deals somewhere, somehow. I wrote Apple weekly, with this comment particularly about Daft Punk which had been on the U.K. site at least 6 months before U.S. I've seen the comment before - for an industry that depends on the listeners - they sure don't cater to us.

By the way, I realize I put an acoustic version of a song on the mix... oops.

Finally - DMB on iTunes

Finally - DMB on iTunesDave Matthews Band. Do you need a description? I'm writing this 72 hours after I created the iMix and it's still #1 so I guess I wasn't the only one waiting for Dave and the band to change their mind. I mean Napster got the entire catalog in July 2004. Now who are we waiting on? Radiohead, Zeppelin, Beatles, Tool - I mean, come on Spielberg, it's not DVD. Quit holding out on us.

Fifty-Fives

Fifty-FivesFifty-Fives is an iMix of 50 great bands and 5 of their top songs. The list was limited to bands which came onto the music scene after 1990. Another limiting factor was their availability on iTunes... Hey Apple, where is Radiohead!?! As time goes, and I have to add more, I'll have to drop some good bands. So let me know your opinions.

Did I chose a wrong top 5 song? What band did I forget? Who should be removed?

Remember this is Fifty-Fives and iTunes limits iMixes to 250 songs. So I can't, by the rules of this iMix, have a band with one great song. They must have FIVE great songs which qualify to bump another band off the list. If I should add, who should I lose?

Check back and vote on iTunes often. An update means the vote resets.

UPDATE: 5/3/05 - Added Staind and The Offspring
UPDATE: 5/2/05 - Added Puddle of Mudd
UPDATE: 4/28/05 - Added Bush and changed top 5 for Green Day
UPDATE: 4/27/05 - Added Foo Fighters (How could I have forgot)
UPDATE: 4/26/05 - Added Soundgarden
UPDATE: 4/25/05 - Added Sublime and Smashing Pumpkins
UPDATE: 4/24/05 - Added 311

Contenders: Chevelle, Alien Ant Farm, Candlebox, Third Eye Blind...

Wishful Contenders: Tool, Radiohead...

Probable Losers: 311...

Past Contenders: Daft Punk, Jack Johnson, Howie Day, John Mayer...

I need help on giving a band the boot. Who should it be?

hey, you got a good list of alternitive bands and all but your missing "float on" by modest mouse. it's a really good song. Good luck.

You didnt have shadow stabbing for cake which is a much better song then most of what you have up there

At 4/27/2005 5:05 PM, Cody said...

For green day you should have platypus, time of your life, or at least welcome to paradise for gods sake

for weezer you should put el scorcho instead of hash pipe, hash pipe is just a terrible song

At 4/27/2005 5:49 PM, Anonymous said...

how does Maroon 5, 3 Doors Down, Daft Punk, Papa Roach and Switchfoot make a list of "great" rock bands? And I think you should put some U2 and Our Lady Peace(who are better than all but mabye 5% of those bands)

I know its your list, but Jack Johnson doesnt have the work rock in his vocabulary. And I would change NIN- The Hand That Feeds to "SIN" or "Starfuckers INC." but I'm old fashioned.

At 4/27/2005 6:12 PM, Anonymous said...

The song Can't stop now by Keane is much better in my opinion than We might as well be strangers.

At 4/27/2005 8:04 PM, Anonymous said...

most of the choices were pretty good but u didnt choose the best green day songs and in my opinion(i dont know bout other peoples)but u should have trapt on the list instead of bands like rooney and daft punk

At 4/28/2005 3:07 AM, Palmer Deville said...

I'll add U2 to an iMix when I make one that includes bands who were great up until 1990-91... Okay, they're still good but my rules when I started the iMix were that they came on to the Music scene after 1990 - otherwise Pink Floyd, Zeppelin, The Who, Rush and The Police, to name a few would knock several off. Rules is rules.

I have to agree with some of you. For example Modest Mouse is great. Trapt has a few good ones too. But I can't find five songs that I can honestly say quailify them for the Mix. Give me a band and five great songs so I can consider them.

So far I own 212 of these songs either through iTunes or cds. And at least four from each band, except Daft Punk - Yeah, they're next off the mix.

For Cody, I did have Time of Your Life on the mix... it's called Good Riddance. But I changed it up overall, hopefully for the better.

I listened to Can't Stop by Keane. I'll agree, it is better. 30 seconds doesn't always tell the whole story. Thanks.

I'm working on getting a voting poll for a sidebar.

At 4/28/2005 9:21 AM, Gretchen Wolf said...

I enjoyed your iMix. My only suggestion would be to replace "Bright Lights" or one of the other Matchbox 20 songs with "Long Day." It was their first big hit, and still their best song in my opinion. Keep up the good work!

At 4/28/2005 12:43 PM, Anonymous said...

Good iMix. I think Soul Asylum deserves to be on the list. Song suggestions: 1.Somebody to Shove 2.Without a trace 3.Black Gold 4.Runaway Train 5.Summer of the Drugs. In my opinion they should be on the list before some of the other bands.

Also, I agree Jack Johnson is no rocker. And, if this is a rock list then Counting Crows' Angels of the Silences should make it over Long December.

At 4/28/2005 5:56 PM, Anonymous said...

what about nickelback and staind other than that its a good imix

At 4/28/2005 8:07 PM, Anonymous said...

I do agree with the last blogger, but would include Creed and Tantric. Really enjoyed the mix. If iTunes carried more acoustic music, I would suggest much more, such as "So I Need You" by 3 Doors Down. iTunes does have "Harder to Breathe" by Maroon 5 on 1.22.03 Acoustic Album which I think is better (btw great pick with "Woman"). I would also suggest "Letting the Cables Sleep" by Bush and "We're in this Together." Again, great list.

At 4/28/2005 8:20 PM, Anonymous said...

Chevelle is a great band too.

At 4/28/2005 8:51 PM, Palmer Deville said...

A lot of great ones I forgot. And Soul Asylum, thanks... I've been looking to get rid of Jack Johnson. I'll be switching in Letting the Cables Sleep for sure. I'll look for someone to drop for Creed and I only have a few songs from Tantric. I'll have to buy a few and listen for a while. Thanks again. Still waiting on Tool, Radiohead, and even though I'm not a fan, Linkin Park (for me, they sound too... manufactured.)

At 4/29/2005 6:05 AM, Anonymous said...

you came up with a pretty good iMix. i have to agree with the person who said staind should be included and i can think of five good songs for them: price to play from 14 shades of grey, it's been awhile, suffer, and outside from break the cycle, and mudshovel and home from dysfunction. also how could you not include longview from dookie for green day and sex type thing from core for stone temple pilots? about linkin park too--i can understand your view on them but you should check out some of their stuff from before their hybrid theory album. it's a bit more raw and i could always give you a few fansites to check the early stuff out if you'd like (email is kenjikitten@yahoo.com if you'd like those links. i could also easily come up with 5 songs for them, too--easier to run from meteora, my dsmber from reanimation, and points of authority, place for my head, and pushing me away from hybrid theory.

At 4/29/2005 3:23 PM, Palmer Deville said...

I'll give the pre hybrid theory tracks a listen. Then we'll see what iTunes can do to help us. Thanks for the input.

311 could possibly go. I was just going to suggest Queens of the Stone Age.

Oh and for Snow Patrol you could probably substitue "Somewhere a clock is ticking" for Grazed Knees

At 5/02/2005 6:43 PM, Anonymous said...

i agree w/ the people who say staind should be in the mix but i'd put so far away in instead of suffer or home, but i agree w/ the rest of the songs

At 5/03/2005 3:51 PM, Anonymous said...

How didnt everclear or th eels make this list while crappy bands like pap roach and train made it on the list. Put at lease santa monica and novecane for the soul on there. I am happy to see that 311 was just added because they were one of the first alternative bands to combine many different styles of music to make their unique sound.

Great list. How about Jane's Addiction/Porno for Pyros? Jane Says, Been Caught Stealing, Stop, Pets, and Tahitian Moon would be my five. Any thoughts?

At 5/05/2005 4:53 PM, Anonymous said...

Rusty Cage is Soundgarden's best song and should at least beat out "outshined" thanks a bunch, i gave your imix a 5.

At 5/05/2005 4:57 PM, Anonymous said...

ps. You only got 4 JET songs

At 5/05/2005 10:16 PM, Palmer Deville said...

Jane's Addiction/Porno for Pyros will make a nice addition. Thanks Bob.

Outshined, nice song but that must have been an accidental drag and drop. It will be replaced with Rusty Cage in the next update - one of my favorites by the way. I think that's what it was supposed to be anyway...

4 Jet songs, hmmm. I count 5 right now. When I last checked iTunes only listed 249 songs total but the one they left out was NIN Hand that Feeds - Single, which is okay until the next update. I'd rather have Terrible Lie or maybe I need to buy the new release and give it a listen.

Thanks again for those who take the time to vote, and especially those who take the time to comment - good or bad. Remember, when I make an update the votes reset so if you haven't voted in a while hit it again just to check and make sure.

1.Patence

3.Sweet Child O' Mine
4.November Rain
5.Knockin on Heaven's Door

Thanks for your opinions on Puddle of Mudd, Staind, Nickelback, etc. I'll just change the name to Forty-seven-Fives, how's that? How about some replacement suggestions.

I've noticed the missing song anomaly as well - 250 from the outside, 249 inside. I check to make sure iTunes accepts all 250 songs before I publish. If not, I pull the track straight from the store into the imix. Hmmm.

Green Day is the hardest to narrow down. They're the main reason I want to add a poll to the sidebar. Personally, I put Warning or Redundant on any CD or mix with Green Day before American Idiot. Believe me. I'm tempted to switch it out for something.

Can you put The Hives on there i think they, by far, deserve to be there. songs: "Two-timing touch and broken bones", "Hate to say i told you so", B is for Brutus, "No Pun Intended", and "Die, Alright"
thanks

At 5/15/2005 10:33 AM, Anonymous said...

I've got to say, overall, the list is great. It's just that I don't know about 311 and Godsmack. I'm glad you don't have System of a Down. That band is horrible; don't ever think about putting them on your list. But what about Franz Ferdinand? They are one of my all time favorites. They're so unconventional and I think that's great. If you do add them, I suggest these songs: 1.Take Me Out 2.Jacqueline 3.This Fire 4.Auf Achse 5.Come On Home It's okay if you don't like them. After all, it is your list. It's just that I want you to at least listen to them. Also, try The Bravery! Please and thanks! Once again, great list!

At 5/17/2005 5:07 PM, Anonymous said...

This is a decent list but where the hell is Rage Against The Machine. You can't tell me a crappy band like Nickelback made it over Rage... Put Some on there. Top 5 are Killing In The Name, Down Rodeo, Bulls On Parade, I'm Housin, and How I Could Just Kill A Man. I know Itunes doesn't have rage on it, so if that is why you don't have them on the list fine, otherwise get them on.

At 5/21/2005 7:54 PM, Anonymous said...

You should take off Are You In?" or Steller from Incubus and put megalomaniac, and I think you should replace Drive with a live version.

i agree that longview should replace american idiot. I also think primus should be on the list.
5 songs: laquer head, the antipop, jerry was a racecar driver, tommy the cat, and have a cigar.

a few things: you should consider pennyroyal tea or rape me for nirvana, instead of heart shaped box or lithium. also, i think nickelback should have good times gone. finally, wheres hoobastank? crawling in the dark, running away, give it back, same direction, and dissapear

O yea it is a crime that there is no tool.

Please get rid of 311 and put Blink-182 on the I-mix!

At 5/25/2005 4:39 PM, Anonymous said...

its a great mix but i think for 3 doors down you should replace here without you, when im gone, or away from the sun with some songs from the better life like be like that, loser, life of my own, or the better life and i'm glad you don't have blink-182....they aren't good enough to make it on the mix

At 5/25/2005 6:08 PM, Anonymous said...

Ted Leo/Pharmacists is a great band. You should put some of their stuff on there. Great work on the iMix. Good Luck

At 5/25/2005 6:12 PM, Anonymous said...

Hey. Like the iMix. Although, I think Elliott Smith would be a great addition. Other than that you got some good stuff on there!

At 5/26/2005 12:45 PM, chirs said...

i like our iMix its just that its missing a crucial band in rock. all the alternative is great but kick off 311 and put on Van Halen. Van Halen definetly has 5 great songs for you. please consider this direct and unnescapable truth. thanks

At 6/01/2005 5:20 PM, Anonymous said...

hey, greay iMix. one band that would make it even better: Chevelle. they are amazing.

At 6/02/2005 12:29 PM, Anonymous said...

i think "all my life" should have made it for foo fighters over "best of you". "best of you" had to prove its a great song before it can be ranked higher than a song like "all my life".

i'm with all the OTHERS: let loose of 311. they just shouldn't be there.

i'm also with YOU though: itunes needs radiohead.

and here's MY suggestion: you simply must put Beck's "Loser" in there. Ya gotta cut a Guero track and put "Loser" it's almost not an option.

But a great idea and mix man.

At 6/04/2005 7:47 AM, Anonymous said...

Hey its a good mix but for godsmack where is straight out of line? Get rid of gone away 4 the offspring and put pretty fly 4 a white guy. Also get rid of the goo goo dolls. They suck! Put inthe rolling stones instead. The songs should be Satisfaction, jumpin Jack Flash, Shattered, It only rock and roll but i like it, Brown sugar

At 6/04/2005 7:51 AM, Anonymous said...

sorry the stones are from before the 90. my bad. this is the guy who said that. Instead y dont u put in social distortion. They'd kick goo goo dolls but anyday.

At 6/06/2005 12:07 AM, Anonymous said...

the stones may have started before the nineties, but they still do live stuff. their songs could be miss you, cant always get what you want, jumpin jack flash, (cant get no) satisfaction, and start me up.

For Green Day, replace "When I Come Around" with "Warning". It's an awesome song.

At 6/06/2005 9:22 AM, Anonymous said...

drop 311 (they suck) and add Good Charlotte. you could use i just wanna live, lifestyles of the rich & famous, the anthem, and one of your choice (mabye boys & girls or we believe)

Yea 311 sux. Y the hell were the on the mix in the first place. Y dont get someone like Rage against the machine. 5 Song: Guirilla Radio ,Bulls on Parade, Killing In the Name, Testify,AND sLEEP NOW IN THE FIRE

At 6/11/2005 12:58 PM, Anonymous said...

with coldplay, use talk and x & y instead of warning sign and the scientist. i got the new album, and if you're reading this, GO BUY IT NOW!!!

At 6/14/2005 12:09 AM, Anonymous said...

Blink 182 should be on there over half the bands you've chosen. For Pearl Jam I think you should have Daughter or Corduroy instead of three songs from the Ten album. Try adding something from one of the older Jimmy Eat World albums like Blister or A Sunday from the Clarity album.

At 6/15/2005 10:08 AM, Anonymous said...

you should have lyla for oasis

my comments:
Goo Goo Dolls; add sympathy+give a l.b., drop slide+black balloon

Matchbox 20; where the heck's disease? Just drop 3AM

Oasis; Get Lyla, drop stop crying your heart out or little by little.

weezer; add Buddy Holly and drop say it aint so

audioslave; where's your time has come, its their best song ever. it kills show me how to live any day

good charlotte; i agree with that earlier comment, they kick 311 in a nasty little place

simple plan; they deserve it, not Alice in Chains. Use Welcome to my lifie, shut up, untitled, dont wanna think about you, and perfect.

Note to Palmer: Be more open to newer albums like oasis's Dont believe the truth and coldplay's x&y. Thanks for reading this and I always vote 5 stars, so dont be afraid to update.

Some Say, Pieces, Fat Lip, Still Waiting, and motivation r good

Anybody care for Saliva on this list of "Fifty-Fives?"

1. Superstar
2. Click Click Boom
3. Always
4. Your Disease
5. Survival of the Sickest

These five are not in any order.

At 7/31/2005 7:34 PM, Anonymous said...

the chili peppers are already on

At 8/01/2005 4:44 PM, Anonymous said...

311 isnt a great band so they should get the boot, and the chili peppers are already on the mix

Where is System of a Down?

1. Sugar
2. Chop Suey!
3. I-E-A-I-A-I-O
4. Radio/Video
5. B.Y.O.B.

Get rid of Beck. Like you said, thirty seconds isn't always conclusive, so give System a chance.

Under the Covers

Under the CoversGreat songs covered by my favorite artists. Not some guys who stumbled out of an alley way with a trash can lid and some rubber bands trying to get famous. Yes, there are some good cover songs by unknown cover bands. But I want tracks like Ben Folds covering Tiny Dancer and Korn covering Another Brick in the Wall.

I'll try to get the database back soon. Until then, here's the original page I started for the cover songs. It includes some of the original artists and a few tracks that don't make it Under the Covers.

Please leave a comment on any cover songs I've missed.

I like these covers.
Ben Fold's cover of Bitches Ain't shxxt deserves a look.

Smashing Pumpkins have two great covers:
Landslide and Never let me down again.

Thanks. While grabbing that one, I just came across Ben Folds' cover of Video Killed the Radio Star.

At 5/05/2005 6:57 AM, Anonymous said...

Ben Folds also did a good cover of Dr. Dre and snoop's "Bitches ain't shit"

I would cast a vote for the Smashing Pumpkins' rendition of Landslide, too. I also really liked Aimee Mann's One is the Loneliest Number.

Thanks for some great covers. It was fun to listen to and I bought a couple.

Tori Amos' "Smells Like Teen Spirit" is pretty cool.

And of course, Dynamite Hack's "Boyz n the Hood"

You forgot "You're All I've Got Tonight" - Originally by The Cars, covered by Smashing Pumpkins (available on iTunes). The song appeared in the movie "The Saint" but doesn't appear on the soundtrack. It IS on the "rarities and b sides" collection from Smashing Pumpkins.

All great covers. They've been added and the iMix is updated in the iTMS. Thanks for the input.

I'd heard them all, yet they slipped my mind - except "You're All I've Got Tonight" by the Pumpkins. Never heard that one before - different, but great. Thanks. And Aimee Mann's cover of One is amazing. I love it in Magnolia.

how bout limp bizkit covering Behind Blue Eyes?

At 7/09/2005 7:34 AM, Longhorn Baseball Fan said...

Hey, why not put the original next to the cover. I had never heard the original on most of your songs.

At 8/01/2005 1:33 AM, bootleg said...

You put Light My Fire from The Doors as a cover on there. That was definatly an original song from The Doors. If you want some cover songs from The Doors, try "Gloria" "Alabama Song" or "Backdoor Man". "Gloria" is my personal favorite.

Hey stupid, Blinded by the light was WRITTEN by Bruce Springsteen, it was on his first album in 1972, he didnt cover it, the cover from the 80's is what you think is the original.

wrong

but everything other than that is great!

At 12/16/2005 9:00 AM, Anonymous said...

Yeah man, listing Bruce as covering a song he wrote..I mean wow. Credibility-zero.

Garden State, Alternate State

Garden State, Alternate StateThe sounds of Garden State were just too good, I had to head more. So, I made another cd with music from all the original soundtrack's artists. iTunes was already approaching a hundred iMixes with the Garden State soundtrack+1 theme, so seemed like the way to go anyway. Same artists, different songs. Garden State, Alternate State.

For those who haven't seen this movie, I highly recommend it to the 20-30 something crowd, but I don't know anyone who hasn't liked it.
